I can't see any such lawsuit getting traction in the courts, if even admitted to be heard. Google provides many avenues by which a site can improve the indexation of its pages... Tweets and Likes had essentially the same effect recently. I see no validity for a claim of abuse there.
Granted, there seems to be a witch-hunt in progress against Google, much like that launched against Microsoft a few years back. In the M$ cases, though, I think there was a valid antitrust issue, whereas in this instance, I see just more of the same being offered to +1 clicks as is offered to other SM signals.
Obviously, that doesn't mean someone won't try. We're a litigious lot!![]()
